It’s No Foolin’ – spring is here and riding season is upon us! The horses are shedding, and gymkhanas, shows and trail rides are being planned. The Events page is starting to fill up – check out some of the reasons to ride such as:
- The Lake County Chapter of the California Dressage Society’s first show of the season, to be held on April 16 at Highland Springs Equestrian Center in Kelseyville. Complete information and entry forms are available here. There are also numerous clinics happening at HSEC this year – all the dates are listed.
- Also happening in April, on Sunday the 10th, Redwood Empire Trail Riders will be holding a Poker Ride at Oracle Oak Ranch & Twinning Pastures. $5.00 per hand and winner splits the pot! Learn more from the flier here.
- Another interesting, on-going event from Tomasini Training – the “Ride with Wednesday’s Cowgirls happens on alternating Wednesdays in Willits. Improve your skills with Cowboy Dressage! Download the flier, or check out the Wednesday’s Cowgirls Facebook page for more information.
- Melissa Kalember will be presenting two days of clinics at Redwood Riders Arena, April 9 & 10. Saturday will be From the Judge’s Booth, which has both a classroom and riding section. View Flier.
