This cold, dark time of year is hard on the homeless pets in our local shelters. Consider fostering a shelter pet over the holidays, especially if you will be having a quiet, home-based holiday. Getting a dog or cat away from the kennel for a few days helps them avoid kennel stress, and gives much insight into how the pet’s personality is, in a home situation. This greatly improves their chances for successful adoption! Contact any of our local shelters or rescues if you have the time and space to give a homeless pet a vacation.
