Welcome to Spring, the season of showers, flowers and outdoor powers!
One thing about springtime, one never knows what the weather will do next! Be ready for whatever “springs” forth with a sweater, flannel or vest from the Rainbow Winter Clothing Clearance rack. Up to 50% OFF! Perfect to toss on for the early morning dog walk or evening on the deck.
Springtime also means mowing, weed trimming and preparing that garden plot. Rainbow has everything you need to get your yard warm-weather ready, including hand tools, seeds and flower and veggie starts. Don’t forget the potting soil too! The Outdoor Power Equipment department is working hard to help you work easier. Just check out some of the new battery powered equipment that makes yard chores a breeze – without the gasoline, fumes and noise!
Rainbow is, unfortunately, being impacted by supply chain issues, as are many other businesses. Some items are currently unavailable, or shipment has been delayed. We are doing everything we can to keep the necessities in stock, and the prices reasonable, but sometimes it just doesn’t work. Dealing with price increases and stock shortages has become a way of life recently and we are all looking forward to better days. Meanwhile, take advantage of the many Frequent Buyers discounts available on certain brands of pet food, and use your Rainbow Preferred Customer Card to save on the weekly Hot Buys. Just ask one of Rainbow’s helpful staff members about what is available!
And don’t forget to download and use your Wags Subscriber Coupon! As the weather warms up, our pets are likely to be outdoors more often. Protect them from fleas and ticks with a Seresto collar – available for both cats and dogs – and save $5.00 with this month’s coupon.
There are some fun events coming up for pet lovers! The Humane Society of Inland Mendocino County will be holding their Portraits for Pets fundraiser again, starting April 1. For a small donation, an artist will create a one-of-a-kind portrait of your pet. Send a photo of your pup, kitty, bunny, snake, gerbil or any pet, and a volunteer artist will return a piece of personal artwork to you. It is great fun – just keep an eye on the HSIMC Facebook page for more information.
Another fun event on Tuesday March 29 from 10 AM to 2 PM – Jordan’s Way 50 State Tour Live Fundraiser – will be at the Humane Society of Inland Mendocino County. The purpose of this nonprofit is to nurture, educate and engage our community in the care of cats and dogs in need, giving as many animals as possible a chance to thrive in loving homes. Learn more and donate to help homeless pets in Mendocino County on the Jordan’s Way Fundraiser Facebook page.
Everything you need for your Backyard Flock, including the chicks! From coops to egg cartons, Rainbow has you covered. A variety of chicks are available at all Rainbow stores, or you can special order poultry – just give your local Rainbow a call!
Trivia –
If you knew that the Poultry Party was on March 12, you were right! All correct answers were entered in a random drawing for a $15 Rainbow Coupon! Our winner is Carolyn Stevens.
The March question is, Who creates the artwork during the Portraits for Pets fundraiser?
