Chick Days! March 22 Save on Everything Poultry!
Raising backyard chickens comes with benefits that’ll make your homestead a little more self-sufficient and a lot more fun. For starters, you’ll have a steady supply of fresh eggs right at your doorstep. These eggs are tastier, richer, and healthier than what you’ll find at the store – plus, you know exactly where they came from.
Chickens are also great recyclers. They’ll happily gobble up kitchen scraps, and if you’ve got a garden, they’re natural pest control – they’ll feast on bugs and weeds, keeping things tidy without the need for harsh chemicals. On top of that, their droppings make excellent fertilizer for your garden.
For families, having chickens can be a great way to teach kids about where food comes from and the care it takes to raise animals. Plus, chickens are pretty entertaining! They’ve all got their own quirky personalities, and watching them scratch and cluck around the yard is downright relaxing.
All in all, chickens are a low-maintenance, high-reward addition to any backyard – and they bring a little bit of farm life to the city or suburbs.
Ready to start or increase your backyard flock? Don’t miss Chick Days, March 22 at all Rainbow stores. Save on feed, supplies and chicks! Learn something new at the educational seminars, or have fun with the in-store activities. Chickens are now the third most popular pets in the United States, and even Psychology Today has taken an interest.
