Look at all the adoptions!
Wow! What a great job, Orphan Dog! Look at all the adoptions that happened at the Bay Area Pet Fair. Many of these were “fire dogs” who lost their homes due to the latest fires in Lake County. A busy weekend, to be sure, but so worth it! 4,100 dogs rescued so far … and counting!
Do you need a puppy in your life? There are so many dogs and cats looking for homes – all of them deserve a fur-ever home! But, it seems that Mendo Shelter Pets Rescue is overflowing with puppies right now! From tiny to huge (Mastiff crosses, anyone?) if you are thinking of adopting a pup, head over to Mendo Shelter Pets Rescue’s Facebook page to meet them!
Don’t forget – you can donate to these rescue groups, and more, right at Rainbow Ag! Look for the donation bins by the door if you want to donate food, treats, or blankets. Or, just ask a cashier how to make a monetary donation.

Here’s an evacuation tip that is worth practicing – using a pillow case as an emergency cat carrier! Don’t leave your kitty behind because you don’t have a crate or carrier. You can safely use a sturdy pillow case to transport your kitty in an emergency. Do follow the safety guidelines especially when removing the cat from the bag! (Click the image for a larger view)
