As the days get shorter, horses start putting on their winter coats even though the weather is still hot. Much like us, heading out in the morning wearing a sweatshirt only to be too hot by afternoon, only the horse can’t take his off! Be extra careful on warm days, as horses can overheat then become too cool in the evening if their hair is still damp.
