Summertime is Fair Time! One of our favorite times of the year. Rainbow staff always enjoy meeting with the young showmen and women who are in the final stages of preparing their projects for the fairs. Rainbow will be there, supporting the future of agriculture all the way! There’s everything you need, including new “Whites!”

Keeping your cat hydrated during the summer often depends on offering water in whatever way suits the cat’s preference. Cats have opinions, you know? Different shapes or sizes of bowls, and where they are located, can encourage your kitty to drink more often. Some cats will lick ice cubes or broth cubes, which can also add moisture. Feeding some wet food contributes significantly to a cat’s daily water requirement. Many cats are attracted to running water, even drinking from a faucet. Fountain water bowls come in many sizes and shapes, and are popular with opinionated kitties. As our summer weather heats up, everyone needs to stay hydrated – including our feline friends. Wanna go to Summer Camp, Buddy? If you and your pup would enjoy a day at Camp, check out the upcoming Camp Canine, hosted by the Mendocino Kennel Club. Held at the Skelly Dogs Training studio in Ukiah, on July 25th. Kennel Club members will be the “Camp Counselors” and each have a station where you and your dog can practice a skill, or learn a new one! The studio will be decorated to make it a real Day Camp experience. There will be assigned start times so sign up beforehand, then meander through the five stations where your dog can practice skills like Fetch, Tricks and Farm Dog. It is a great way to get some fun enrichment time and support the Mendocino Kennel Club! $25 for non-members, and you get a keepsake photo for each Camper! Play is important for our dogs. They can let off steam, get some exercise and bond with their people. Encourage some fun time with a new toy, or two!
